Congratulations to SMS Alpine’s Harrison DiGangi ’21 on being recognized as our latest Student of the Week!
Harrison has been a high-achieving student-athlete throughout his years at SMS, in both the classroom and on the hill. He has been a regular member of the honor roll and is rarely late with assignments, despite his busy athletic commitments during all seasons, especially in the winter.
His history teacher comments that “he always comes to class prepared and makes a genuine effort to engage. He is a kind and caring student who lifts other people up.”
According to the Men’s FIS Head Coach Matt Prendergast, “Harrison has been making great results and still has more to give. He has been landing on the podium nearly every time he steps into the start gate. Harrison’s hard work, focus on the process is amazing and is paying off.”
Harrison’s golf coach Topher Harlow added that “Harrison’s ability to concentrate on his golf game while inspiring his teammates is second to none. To win a 3rd individual title and lead his team to a 3rd place finish in the state tournament is nothing short of legendary! Congrats, H!”
Harrison embodies the frequently observed truth of the most successful SMS student-athletes that balance, attentiveness to, and careful management of both academic and athletic commitments leads to excellent achievement in both. His easy-going disposition and friendliness towards all in the community make him a true pleasure to be around.
Harrison was admitted early decision to the highly competitive Colby College.
