Join us for a fun week of conditioning, sports education, field games, and adventures in the mountains of Southern Vermont at the SMS High Performance Adventure Camp!
Campers will have a blast while improving their winter sports skills through circuit training, trampoline training, conditioning, field games, and adventures in the mountains of Southern Vermont at Bromley Mountain's Adventure Zone and Killington Mountain's Adventure Park. Campers will have full access to SMS’s world-class facilities, including the Simpson Center for Action Sports, which features three trampolines including a super tramp and progression ramp.
Each camper will participate in physical testing and training, the results of which will be utilized to develop an individualized program for each athlete to follow throughout the remainder of the summer and fall. Afternoons will focus on fun, with adventures including hiking, mountain biking, and visits to a ropes course and alpine slide. Campers will also enjoy daily games on Stratton Mountain School's Luckenbill Field.
The Stratton Mountain School Alpine Program is proud to offer a variety of ski racing camps around the world. The training camps are open to any racer and are scheduled throughout the year.
The SMS NextGen Holiday and Mini-Camps, hosted at Stratton Resort, are 2-3 days in length, whereas the SMS NextGen Thanksgiving Camp at Cooper Mountain, Colorado, and the SMS NextGen Mt Hood Camp at Timberline Lodge, Oregon, are much longer.
These camps provide young racers with extra training to supplement their club offerings and an introduction to the SMS experience.
Contact Jim Sullivan, Director of Admissions for more information on upcoming camps.
The SMS NextGen Holiday Camp at Stratton Mountain Resort is a perfect early-season opportunity for young racers to commence gate training and hone their technique to prepare for the upcoming race season. Athletes engage in extensive SL and GS gate training under the tutelage of SMS coaches.
In addition to the on-hill training and drills, the camp curriculum focuses on skill development through video analysis, and tech talks. Each racer is sent home with a "game plan" for the season. This camp is open to U12–U16 racers. The SMS NextGen Holiday Camp has sold out in the past, so it is recommended that you sign up early to secure a spot.
