Full Term Program

"My daughter had a wonderful year at SMS.  Her skiing and confidence improved so much — she made the most wonderful friends, was challenged in her classes, and her coaches were strong, kind, and experts in their field." - Current SMS Parent
Stratton Mountain School's Full Term Program follows a traditional school year calendar, starting early September and ending in mid June.  Training and competing in high level winter sports is a year round endeavor, involving both on snow and dry land training + conditioning. The Full Term Program is open to all students from 7-12th Grade.

SMS's Full Term Program is comprehensive and focuses on a year round athletic program, in which our athletes seek out snow in the months when they are not able to train locally. In addition, when not training on snow, SMS offers top level training facilities on campus for our students to engage in extensive programming which prepares them for their winter competitions.

Due to the training demands and academic rigor from 9th grade through graduation, SMS is exclusively Full Term for high school students.
Admission to Stratton Mountain School is awarded based on academic, athletic, and personal accomplishments, as well as potential. It is the school’s policy to accept qualified students without regard to sex, race, color, creed, or national or ethnic origin.
