Mornings will focus on circuit training, where campers can work with certified coaches and trainers across disciplines. Alpine coaches, Jim Sullivan, Naga Kusumi, and Will Horstmann, will guide workouts and lifting techniques to develop strength and endurance. Campers will also participate in physical testing during this time, the results of which will be utilized to create an individualized program for each athlete to follow throughout the remainder of the summer and fall.
Campers will also have access to our Air Awareness Center during this time, the best facility of its kind in the Northeast, including a foam pit, Ross trampolines, a Max Air Super trampoline, and a full-size indoor skate park. Freeski and Snowboard Directors, Jesse Mallis and Ross Powers, along with coaching staff, will teach on-tramp fundamentals that are useful in all programs, such as proper trick progressions, improving trampoline skills, tumbling, and air awareness.
Afternoons will be dedicated to fun, with adventures including hiking, swimming, and mountain biking planned alongside visits to a ropes course and alpine slide. Campers will also enjoy daily games on the Stratton Mountain School's Luckenbill Field.
The 2020 High Performance Camp is open to skiers and snowboarders ages 10- 15 and the total cost is $595- includes lunch each day.
