Daniel Leikin `20 Wins Local VFW Voice of Democracy Contest
STRATTON—Stratton Mountain School student athlete Daniel Leikin `20 has been announced as the winner of the local Vermont VFW’s Voice of Democracy Essay Contest for his essay on “Why My Vote Matters.”
Daniel’s essay and recording will now move on to the Southern Vermont competition, which includes Bennington, Brattleboro, and a few other towns. If he wins there, he will be entered in the state competition—the winner of which will move on to the national level of competition.
Stratton Mountain School is an independent boarding and day school that focuses on college preparatory academics and competitive winter sports. Located at the base of Stratton Mountain, SMS serves students in grades 7 – 12.
