Ogden, Seeman Named to 2020 U.S. XC Team Elite Group

September 03, 2019

PARK CITY—Stratton Mountain School Nordic skiers Charlotte Ogden `18 and Nina Seeman `21 have been selected to attend the U.S. Ski Team’s National Elite Group Camp, being held between October 7 and 13 in Park City, Utah, following their performance at Regional Elite Group Camps this summer.

Charlotte and Nina have been performing at a high level for well over a year now, and it is fantastic that they were named to the National Elite Group,” said SMS Nordic Director Matt Boobar. “They get access to elite-level camps with other top skiers and coaches. Not only will they get in a great training block but they also bring back new ideas for our team to implement—which elevates the entire program at Stratton Mountain School.”

Ogden and Seeman are two of five New England skiers selected to attend the national camp, with a total of 16 athletes in attendance. The goal of the National Elite group Camp is to learn from, and train alongside, the U.S. Ski Team athletes—in conjunction with the U.S. Cross Country Team’s October camp—and SMS alumnus Andy Newell `02 will also be supporting the camp’s coaching efforts.

Congratulations, Nina and Charlotte!
