Diego Holscher `20 Named to Chilean National Ski Team
STRATTON—Stratton Mountain School Alpine athlete Diego Holscher `20 has been named to the Chilean National Ski Team for the second year in a row, following an impressive season at the international level.
“We are excited to have a current student named to the Chilean National Team,” said SMS Alpine Director Mike Morin. “Diego has continued to show tremendous growth each year and shows he has the potential to continue on this path.”
Highlights from Holscher’s 2018-2019 season include his GS win at the South American Cup last August, his podium finish among the U18 athletes at an FIS Nor-Am in January, another U18 podium at Junior World Championships, and a win at Eastern Cup Finals, among others.
“He had another great season with two U18 podiums at World Junior Championships and a season-end World Age Group rank of 1st in Super G,” Morin added. “Diego is competitive on the world stage and we are excited to continue working with him on his development to him through to the next level.”
Stratton Mountain School is an independent boarding and day school that focuses on college preparatory academics and competitive winter sports. Located at the base of Stratton Mountain, SMS serves students in grades 7 – 12.
