SMS Boys win First Playoff Game
STRATTON—The Stratton Mountain School Boys Lacrosse Team won their first Playoff Game of the season, playing at home against Montpelier on Wednesday, May 29.
Owen Croce`20 led the offense with 4 goals, followed by Mac Forehand `20, Spencer Latterman `20, and Cole Paraiso `21 with two goals each. Bobby Stevenish `21, Will Haljun `22, and Simon Baron `23 each scored once, and goalie Michael Puchkov `21 totaled 11 saves throughout the game, not letting in a single goal throughout the second half.
“We played really well yesterday even though it took some time for us to get going,” said Assistant Coach Tommy Gambino. “We had some really well-executed plays that turned into goals. They fought hard for the ground balls, which led to a good amount of fast breaks where we were able to capitalize. If we play like that for the rest of the playoffs who knows how far we can go.”
