SMS Nordic Takes on "Rising Stars" Race during World Cup Finals
QUEBEC—As Cross Country Skiers throughout the world wrapped up the 2018/2019 season at the Quebec World Cup, Stratton Mountain School Nordic students participated in the Rising Stars Race taking place alongside the event—in which Anna Lehmann `19 landed on the podium in 3rd, following by Nina Seeman `21 and Will Koch `20 who each placed 5th in their respective races. The mass start race featured the top Junior athletes from Canada and the USA, alongside four Norwegian skiers.
Eight members of the SMS T2 Team races in the World Cup Finals, including alumna Sophie Caldwell `08 who ended the season at 4th in the global Spring rankings. Ben Ogden `18 marked his first World Cup start, racing alongside sibling Katherine Ogden `16, former postgraduate Julia Kern `16, alumnus Andy Newell `02, and more.
Next, a delegation of current SMS skiers will join the SMS T2 Team at the Supertour Finals in Presque Isle, Maine this weekend. Congratulations and good luck to all!
