Seven U14 Athletes Qualify for Can-Am Following Eastern Championships

STRATTON—Seven Stratton Mountain School U14 Alpine athletes have qualified to compete at the U14 Can-Am races at Mont Tremblant, QC between March 28 and 31 following a great weekend at the U14 Eastern Championships in Whiteface, NY.

Alex Huber `23 led the SMS results at Eastern Championships, finishing 6th in Super G, 7th in Slalom, and 9th in Giant Slalom. Knight Okie `23 landed in the top-15 twice with a 12th place results in Suepr G, and 14th in Slalom, and Clarita Crespo `24 also claimed 12th in GS and 22nd in Super G. 

Cameron Johnson `23 finished 17th in Slalom, 19th in Super G, and 20th in GS, followed by Megan Yi `23 in 23rd. Bode Gutchess `24 claimed 19th in GS and Simon Baron `23 took 19th in Slalom. In Super G, Matteo Boniviento `24 finished 18th while Henriette Borgia `23 and Bronson Culver `24 earned 23rd in their respective races. 

Next weekend, Clarita Crespo `24Alex Huber `23, Knight Okie `23, Bronson Culver `24, Bode Gutchess `24, Cameron Johnson `23, and Simon Baron `23 will travel to Quebec for the U14 Can-Am races, including Super G on Friday, March 29, Giant Slalom on Saturday, March 30, and Slalom on Sunday, March 31.
