Student of the Week
Congratulations to Molly Knight (Alpine ‘22) for being recognized as the SMS Student of the Week!
Molly exudes positivity, always puts her best foot forward, and takes advantages of all of the great opportunities offered at Stratton to discover new experiences and challenges during her time at SMS.
In Spanish Molly is “highly organized and meticulous,” working hard to achieve the positive results that she earns. She has embraced SMS’s sliding block by continuing to enrich her academic experience independently.
“Molly has been terrific in my class and has gone above and beyond during this ‘camp’ time,” said SMS History Teacher Kate Koch, who nominated Molly for Student of the Week. “She helped to introduce the book we’re reading to the kids who were away, and added to my powerpoint with some really nice slides and good information. She has almost endless patience with her class, since she’s been done with the book for about a month.”
Molly’s proactive and fierce spirit hasn’t faltered in the face of injury, and she’s even taken advantage of SMS Art Teacher Jenna Daly’s art therapy program. As a “great citizen” in the girls’ dorm, Molly has been commended by the SMS community as a “genuinely good person” who is “kind, caring and hardworking.”
“In the dorms, she’s always someone you can rely on to do the right thing,” added one community member.
Molly is actively engaged in SMS’s art program, has begun working alongside fellow students on the newest edition of the yearbook, and even got a job at the Stratton Resort for the winter.
“She is happy, positive, and cheerful,” concluded Koch. “A ray of sunshine.”
