Freeski Athletes Competing in Olympic Qualifier Events

Stratton Mountain School freeskiers, Caroline Claire ‘18 and Mac Forehand ‘20, are competing in Olympic qualifier events this week. Caroline and Mac will compete in the World Cup and Grand Prix Slopestyle events in Aspen, Colorado from January 10-14, 2018. Following the competitions in Aspen, they will travel to Mammoth, California, where Mac will compete in another World Cup and Grand Prix and Caroline in the Grand Prix.

We are so happy to have these two athletes representing Stratton Mountain School and the SMS Freeskiing Program at the highest levels of the sport! We wish them the best of luck and will be cheering them on,” stated Freeskiing Program Director, Jesse Mallis.

Stratton Mountain School is an independent boarding and day school that focuses on college preparatory academics and competitive winter sports. Located at the base of Stratton Mountain, SMS is accredited by NEASC, is a member of NAIS, and is an official U.S. Ski & Snowboard Development Site.
