Freestyle Camps

The Stratton Mountain School Freestyle Program is excited to offer a variety of training camps throughout the year. The SMS Freestyle coaches have been running training camps for over 15 years and have an awesome line-up with the best places to train in the off-season!
 
Come train with the SMS Freestyle Program this summer! We take great pride in our summer training camps and welcome all athletes to join us. We provide professional training on the best summer training venues in the world. In addition to the 30 plus combined years of professional coaching, the staff ensures a safe and well-supervised camp environment with plenty of fun, extracurricular adventures, and activities for the athletes.

Whistler Camp
SMS Freestyle has exclusive training on the ID One Mogul Lane in early June before the official ID One Mogul Camp starts later in the month. This SMS camp will consist of eleven days on snow and five sessions of water ramp training. The camp also includes strength and conditioning sessions, video analysis, and afternoon and evening activities.

Date: June 10 – 23, 2018
Location: Whistler, BC, Canada
Cost: $4,000 plus airfare
Details: Athletes may fly to Vancouver with members of the coaching staff from Hartford or can meet us in Vancouver by 2pm on June 10th. The athletes should be booked home on flights departing after 8pm on June 23rd.
Includes: Coaching, training fees, ground transportation to Whistler, lodging and all meals are included except travel days and off days.

Quebec Camp
There are several mogul jumps at the Acrobatx facility in Lac Beauport, QUE, allowing for great fundamental training on jumps that parallel on snow mogul jumps. The coaching staff believes that our athletes water ramp training in Quebec translates to their on snow jumping very well. Athletes have two training sessions per day in Quebec, allowing for at least 20-35 jumps per day. This SMS camp will consist of six days of water ramp training. The camp also includes strength and conditioning sessions, trampoline sessions, video analysis and off day, afternoon and evening activities.
 
Date: July 16 – 23, 2018
Location: Lac Beauport, QUE, Canada
Cost: $1,600
Details: Athletes meet the coaches at SMS for transport to Quebec. We will depart at 10am on July 16th and return to SMS on July 23rd between the hours of 7 and 9pm, depending on traffic at the border. We stay in awesome chalets about 15 minutes from the ramps. All meals are cooked family style, except on off days when we head into Quebec City. 
Includes: Coaching, training fees, transportation to/from SMS, lodging and all meals are included except travel days and off days. 
 
 

Action Sports Camp
Date: July 25-29, 2018
Location: Stratton Moutain, Vermont
Cost: $599
Details: The Action Sports Camp at Stratton Mountain School is a fun way for athletes who have a passion for on-snow action sports such as snowboarding, freeskiing, and mogul skiing to learn skills. Utilizing the newly-built Air Awareness Center, campers have access to a full-sized foam pit, Ross Trampolines and the Max Air Super Trampoline, as well as the full-size skate park and strength and conditioning space. Campers also participate in group activities such as field games and trips to local swimming holes.
 

Park City Camp
We will be training at the Utah Olympic Park in Park City, Utah this summer! The athletes will have two training sessions per day in Park City. This SMS camp will consist of four days of water ramp training. The camp also includes strength and conditioning sessions, trampoline sessions, video analysis, afternoon and evening activities. 
 
Date: August 4 – 8, 2018
Location: Park City, Utah
Cost: $1,800 plus airfare
Details: We will fly to SLC on August 4th. (Flight info TBD) We will be driving to Government Camp, OR beginning on August 8th after training and plan to arrive at Mount Hood on August 9th.

Includes: Coaching, training fees, lodging and ground transportation. Most meals will be included in the camp fee. 


Mt. Hood Camp
We will be training on the Palmer Glacier at Timberline Resort in August. This camp is intended to be primarily a jump training camp, but we will utilize all available mogul training venues as well. This SMS camp will consist of 8 days of on-snow training. The camp also includes strength and conditioning sessions and video analysis. We are excited to take advantage of the awesome outdoor adventures that the Mount Hood area provides during our afternoon and evening activity times.

Location: Mt. Hood, Oregon
Cost: $3,400 plus airfare

Winter 2019: Young Gun Project
