Summer Athletic Camps

Each athletic program at Stratton Mountain School hosts a number of summer camps on campus and across the globe. Stratton Mountain School also hosts independent organizations, including American Dance Training Camps and Game Breaker Lacrosse Camps. These camps are open to non-SMS students.

Action Sports Camp: Freeski & Snowboard Session
Date: July 16-20, 2018
Location: Stratton Mountain, Vermont
Age: 8-16 years old
Cost: $599
Focus: The Action Sports Camp at Stratton Mountain School is a fun way for athletes who have a passion for on-snow action sports such as snowboarding, freeskiing, and mogul skiing to learn skills. Utilizing the newly-built Air Awareness Center, campers have access to a full-sized foam pit, Ross Trampolines and the Max Air Super Trampoline, as well as the full-size skate park and strength and conditioning space. Campers also participate in group activities such as field games and trips to local swimming holes.

Mt. Hood Camp #1
Date: June 23–July 5, 2018
Location: Mt. Hood, Oregon
Age: U10 – U16 Alpine Ski Racers
Cost: $3,100 plus airfare
Focus: Nine days of on-snow Giant Slalom and Slalom training at Mt. Hood. Click here for more information.

High Performance Adventure Camp
Date: July 29–August 3, 2018
Location: Stratton Mountain, Vermont
Age: U12 – U16
Cost: $795 Boarding Camper, $595 Day Camper
Focus: An action-packed week of conditioning, games, and adventures in Stratton Mountain, Vermont. This camp will capture the many components of training young athletes for not only ski racing but also any athletic strength/speed/power sport. Click here for more information.

Mt. Hood Camp #2
Date: August 7–19, 2018
Location: Mt. Hood, Oregon

Nordic BKL Camp
Date: August 12-15, 2018
Location: Stratton Mountain, Vermont
Age: Nordic skiers ages 10-14
Cost: $350
Focus: Campers are introduced to roller skiing and core strength, as well as long-term training theories and techniques. The emphasis, however, is on being active, making friends, and having fun. There are a variety of activities including soccer, roller skiing, hiking, camp Olympics, swimming, skit night and ultimate Frisbee. The BKL Camp includes room & board, coaching, and a camp t-shirt. This camp starts at 2pm on the 12th and ends at 1pm on the 15th.

Nordic Junior Camp
Date: August 15-18, 2018
Location: Stratton Mountain, Vermont
Age: Nordic skiers entering grades 9 through 12
Cost: $350
Focus: Campers train with nationally ranked skiers, work on skills essential for success, and leave with an understanding of the requirements to improve their fall training and ski faster than ever. Activities include classic and skate roller skiing, ski striding, hiking, soccer, swimming, skits and more. The Junior Camp includes room & board, coaching, and a camp t-shirt. This camp starts at 3pm on the 15th and ends at 1pm on the 18th.
