Matt Boobar brings much endurance sports experience from competitive, coaching, and educational backgrounds to SMS. He brings 27 years of coaching nordic skiing, cycling, and XC running, including:

This extensive experience has provided him invaluable exposure to all aspects and levels of the sport.
In addition to coaching the Nordic team, he created and coached the SMS mountain bike team to two undefeated seasons, two New England and five western division championships. He is also a two-time World Champion, four-time National Champion in Xterra, and seven-time New England Mountain Bike Champion. Matt resides in Peru, Vt, with his wife, Kate (SMS Director of Sports Medicine), daughters Aspen and Sierra, and dog, Scout.
