Olivia Holm Finishes 2nd at Topolino
Stratton Mountain School (SMS) alpine skier, Olivia Holm ‘19, took 2nd place in Giant Slalom (GS) at the Alpe Cimbra FIS Children’s Cup (formerly known as Topolino) in Folgaria, Italy.
The Alpe Cimbra Children’s Cup is one of the largest and most competitive international ski racing events in the world. The race is the premier U16 competition in Europe and brings the top young athletes from all over the world to compete.
“Olivia took second in the Alpe Cimbra GS in Folgaria Italy. She put two amazing runs together to ski her way to second place. The level of skiing was awesome and she rose to the occasion,” stated SMS Alpine Program Director, Mike Morin.
SMS’s Diego Holscher ‘20, who represented Chile at the event, finished in 7th place.
Stratton Mountain School is an independent boarding and day school that focuses on college preparatory academics and competitive winter sports. Located at the base of Stratton Mountain, SMS serves students in grades 7 – 12.
